IMF, AI QC: How's the Online Editor role changing?

Hey everyone, I'm Erik, a sound mixer. My world has its own tech shifts, but I've been noticing a lot of buzz recently around IMF for versioning and AI getting more involved in QC processes on the picture side. It’s got me genuinely curious about how this is impacting the folks I work with most directly when we get to the end of a project.

Specifically, for the online editors and finishing artists I send my mixes to, how have these developments changed their day-to-day? Are new skill sets becoming absolutely essential? For instance, I’ve been on a few documentary projects lately shot on an ALEXA Mini and some narrative shorts on an AMIRA, and the post workflow feels like it's getting more intricate. Are they spending less time on manual checks and more on configuring complex deliveries? Looking for some real-world insights here.
