Entry-Level Feature Film Editor, Seoul

Hey everyone, my upcoming independent feature film needs a talented editor to join our crew in Seoul. It's a dark comedy, kind of a modern noir, with a unique visual style and a strong character focus. We're looking for someone with a sharp eye for pacing and storytelling, especially someone who can help us find the humor and tension in the raw footage. Your main responsibility will be assembling initial cuts, organizing footage, and collaborating closely with the director and myself on creative decisions. Prior experience with a full feature isn't mandatory, but a strong reel showcasing your short-form narrative editing is a must. Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro is essential, and any experience with color grading basics is a plus. This is a deferred pay position, reflecting the nature of independent filmmaking, but we're committed to making this project a success and ensuring everyone is compensated once distribution is secured. We anticipate a 6-8 week editing schedule, starting around late summer. We'll provide a dedicated editing suite, all necessary hardware, and software.
