Production Design for Short Film

Hey filmmakers, I'm putting together a short, 15-minute sci-fi piece called \"Echoes of Tomorrow\" and need an enthusiastic Production Designer to join our team. It’s a character-driven thriller set in a near-future, slightly dystopian world where memory retention is a valuable commodity. We’re aiming for a grittier, practical effects feel, less pristine sci-fi, more grounded decay. You'll be crucial in defining the visual language, from set decoration and props to color palettes and overall aesthetic. We're an independent production, passionate about telling a compelling story. We're looking for someone with an entry-level background, perhaps film school experience, or a strong portfolio of personal projects. A keen eye for detail and problem-solving is a must. If you have access to any basic tools or materials that's a plus, but we’ll provide what's necessary for the build. Please share a portfolio or examples of your design work, even if it's concept art or sketches, so we can get a feel for your style. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late September, early October, over 3-4 days in and around NYC. This is a passion project, so compensation is on a revenue-share basis once the film is completed and distributed. We're a small, dedicated crew and this is a great opportunity to get a significant credit on a project with strong festival potential.
