Senior Camera Operator, Web Series

Web Series Camera Albuquerque, NM senior Budget: No pay (passion project)

Hey filmmakers, I'm Luis, a Location Manager working on an exciting new web series filming in Albuquerque and I'm looking for a senior Camera Operator to join our passionate crew. This is a gritty, character-driven drama, think Breaking Bad meets Lodge 49. We’re aiming for a really unique visual style, moody and atmospheric, so we need someone who can translate that vision into compelling shots. This is a volunteer, passion project, but it’s a fantastic opportunity to build your reel with high-quality content and collaborate with a dedicated team. Your primary responsibility will be operating an A-cam, executing precise camera movements, and ensuring continuity in our visual storytelling. We’ll also be looking to you for input on camera placement and shot selection during pre-production discussions. You should have your own camera package (ideally a Blackmagic Pocket or similar, with a good lens kit) and relevant support gear. A strong reel showcasing your experience with dramatic storytelling and various camera techniques is essential. We're looking for someone who understands lighting and can work effectively with our DP to achieve the desired look. Approximate shoot dates are weekends in late July and early August. Hours will be typical indie film days, but we’re committed to a professional and supportive set. We’ll provide meals and good vibes, plus a great chance to work on a truly original project. Let's make something awesome together!
