1st AC (Commercial) - LA - Entry-Level

This is for a high-energy commercial spot for a new athletic apparel line, focusing on dynamic movement and a modern, sleek aesthetic. We're seeking an entry-level 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming independent production. This role is crucial for maintaining sharp focus and assisting our DP on set. You'll be responsible for pulling focus, maintaining camera equipment, preparing lenses, and assisting with camera builds and breakdowns. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of camera mechanics (Arri Alexa Mini LF preferred), a keen eye for detail, and a proactive attitude. Experience with wireless follow focus systems is a plus. While you don't need your own gear, demonstrating familiarity with standard camera packages is important. Please provide a brief cover letter outlining your experience and any relevant work samples or references. We anticipate a 1-2 day shoot around mid September 2026, with an additional half-day prep. Exact dates are still being finalized. Craft services, lunch, and water will be provided on set. Compensation is $300-500/day, based on experience.
