Production for Short Film

We're looking for a dedicated Production Assistant to join our independent sci-fi short film. This project is a tense, character-driven thriller set in a near-future dystopia, exploring themes of surveillance and personal freedom. It's a visually ambitious piece for a short, with a unique production design that will be interesting to be a part of. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with set operations, managing craft services, running errands, helping with load-in/load-out, and ensuring general crew support. You'll be a vital part of keeping things running smoothly on set, so a proactive attitude and strong communication skills are a must. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience on a professional set. No specific gear is required, but reliable transportation is essential as you'll be needed for various tasks around the Los Angeles area. We're looking for someone enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a positive attitude. Some previous set experience, even on student or micro-budget projects, is a plus, but not strictly required if you demonstrate a strong work ethic. We anticipate a 3-day shoot schedule, with exact dates to be finalized but likely falling in early November 2026. Days will be 10-12 hours. Lunch and snacks will be provided on set.
