Production for Documentary

Seeking an experienced Senior Story Producer for an independent feature documentary focusing on the hidden ecosystems of urban Los Angeles. This is an incredible opportunity to shape compelling narratives from unique footage and interviews. We need someone for approximately 6-8 weeks of work starting in late October 2026, paying $500-800/day, depending on experience. You'll be working closely with the director and editor to craft impactful story arcs and sequences, identifying key emotional beats and thematic through-lines. This isn't your typical talking-heads doc; we're exploring the unexpected, the resilient, and the often-overlooked beauty within the city's concrete jungle. Key responsibilities include logging footage, developing assembly edits, writing voiceover scripts, conducting preliminary research, and participating actively in story meetings. Candidates should have a strong portfolio demonstrating their ability to build engaging, character-driven narratives, ideally within the documentary space.
