1st AC, Dark Comedy Pilot (New York)

Seeking a 1st AC for a 2-day shoot in mid October 2026, compensation TBD (rate negotiable based on experience). This is for an independent dark comedy pilot shooting in various locations around New York, NY. The project has a dry, observational tone, exploring the absurdities of modern office life. It's an exciting opportunity to work on a fresh concept with a dedicated, small crew. Your primary role will be pulling focus, maintaining camera equipment, and assisting the DP in achieving their vision. We'll be working with a single camera setup. You'll be responsible for bringing your own follow focus system and basic camera toolkit. Experience with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro or similar mirrorless cinema cameras is a plus, but not strictly required if you can adapt quickly. Please have a portfolio or reel demonstrating your focus pulling skills and a good understanding of camera prep. We're looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and with a positive attitude. Food and some transportation stipends will be provided on shoot days. While this is an entry-level friendly production, strong attention to detail is crucial. We anticipate 10-12 hour shoot days.
