1st AC, Indie Feature Film

This independent psychological drama explores the isolation of city life through the eyes of an aging artist, filmed entirely within a single apartment in NYC. We are seeking a senior 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming micro-budget feature. Responsibilities include pulling focus with precision, maintaining camera equipment, managing lenses and accessories, and supporting the DP with setup and breakdown. You should have extensive experience with cinema cameras (e.g., Arri Alexa, Sony Venice, Red Digital Cinema) and be adept at quick lens changes and troubleshooting on set. Please share your reel or a list of relevant projects where you served as 1st AC. We anticipate about 15-20 shoot days, spread across the second half of September 2026 and potentially into early October 2026. Hours will be typical 10-12 hour days. This is a volunteer position, offering full credit and meals on set. We aim for a tight-knit, collaborative crew who are passionate about independent filmmaking.
