Entry-Level Assistant Editor, Web Series

Web Series Post-Production Austin, TX entry Budget: $1000-1500/day

Hey everyone! We're putting together an independent web series, a dark comedy with some great surreal elements. Think early Adult Swim meets a Coen Brothers film, but for the internet. I'm looking for a passionate, organized Assistant Editor to join our small, enthusiastic crew here in Austin. This role will primarily involve handling all the dailies, syncing footage, creating proxies, organizing project files, and setting up sequences for our lead editor. You'll also be responsible for some basic sound sweetening and color passes as needed, plus exporting various cuts for review. This is a fantastic chance to get hands-on experience with an engaging narrative project and learn the ropes of a professional post-production workflow. Ideally, you'll have some familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. While this is an entry-level position, some prior experience (even on student films or personal projects) with media management and editing software is a big plus. Please include a link to your reel or any relevant work when you apply. We don't expect you to bring your own gear for this role, we'll provide the necessary workstations and software. We anticipate a post-production period of about 3-4 weeks, starting around mid-July. We're looking at roughly 8-10 hour days, Monday through Friday. Compensation is competitive at $1000-$1500 per day, depending on experience. Come join us!
