Assistant Editor, Commercial Spot

Hey everyone, I'm working on a commercial spot for an independent production and need an Assistant Editor to help out. This project is a visually driven brand piece for a lifestyle product, with a positive, aspirational tone. We've got some great footage shot on a RED, and the final look will be quite polished, leaning into a slick, contemporary aesthetic. Your main responsibilities would involve ingesting and organizing footage, creating dailies, syncing audio, and preparing sequences for the main editor. You'd also assist with basic cuts and perhaps some rotoscoping or clean-up if you have those skills and time allows. We're looking for someone with some experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, ideally familiar with proxy workflows and project organization. A strong interest in post-production and a good eye for detail are key. Please share your resume and any relevant project experience you have, even if it's just personal work, especially showing how you handle organization. The shoot is wrapping up soon, so we're looking to start post-production in the next couple of weeks, aiming for about 20-30 hours a week for 2-3 weeks. This is a volunteer position, but we'll provide credit, meals, and a great opportunity to get hands-on experience on a professional set of deliverables.
