Assistant Editor, Fantasy Pilot

Pilot Post-Production San Francisco, CA entry Budget: $2000-3000/week

Hey filmmakers, I'm a VFX artist working on an exciting independent production, a fantasy pilot for a new series. It's got a really unique magical realism vibe, think 'Pan's Labyrinth' meets a gritty independent drama. We're looking for an Assistant Editor, someone sharp and organized, to help us out. Your main responsibilities will include ingesting footage, syncing audio, creating dailies, managing proxies, and generally keeping our project files tidy in Adobe Premiere Pro. You'll also be instrumental in handling administrative tasks related to post-production workflows. Ideally, you've got some experience as an assistant editor on at least one previous project, even if it was a student film or short. A strong understanding of post-production pipelines and file management is a must. While a full reel isn't strictly necessary, demonstrating your organizational skills and familiarity with Premiere Pro would be great. The shoot is wrapped, so this is purely a post-production role, starting around late June. We're aiming for full-time hours, Monday through Friday, but we can be a bit flexible for the right person. We'll provide all necessary equipment, including a workstation and software licenses. It's a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an ambitious project with a small production company. Come join our team in San Francisco!
