Senior Editor, Documentary Feature (Remote OK)

Documentary Post-Production 🌍 Remote senior Budget: $200-400/day

Hey Nashville editors, I'm working on an independent documentary feature and looking for a senior-level editor to join our team. This film explores the underground music scene in 90s London, focusing on the cultural impact and personal stories of the artists. It's got an exciting, raw energy to it, with a lot of archival footage and interviews to weave together into a cohesive narrative. We need someone with a strong sense of story, who can manage a large volume of footage and isn't afraid to dig deep to find the emotional core. You'll be responsible for assembling rough cuts, incorporating feedback, refining pacing, and preparing for sound post and color. Specific responsibilities include organizing dailies, creating assembly edits, collaborating on story structure, and working closely with the director to achieve the final vision. Required: significant experience editing long-form documentaries (preferably features), a solid understanding of documentary storytelling unique challenges, proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, and a reel showcasing your best work. Experience with archival footage is a plus. While based in Nashville, we're open to remote work for the right candidate. Compensation is $200-400/day, depending on experience. We're looking to start around late summer/early fall for a few months, with flexible hours. Let's connect!
