Editor for Narrative Short (Nashville, TN)

Hey filmmakers, Andre here, a music composer working on an exciting independent short film, and I'm looking for a talented editor to join the team. This is a dramatic short film, leaning into a reflective, intimate tone, focusing on a character's internal journey. It's an opportunity to craft a powerful narrative through nuanced editing choices. Your main responsibilities will include assembling footage, refining pacing, collaborating on creative cuts, and managing post-production workflows. We need someone with at least a few years of experience editing narrative shorts or features, and a strong eye for storytelling. Please share your reel or relevant work samples so we can see your style. We anticipate picture locking around 4-6 weeks after principle photography wraps, which is tentatively scheduled for mid-April. This is a paid position, $100-200 per day, depending on experience, for an estimated 10-15 days of work. We'll provide all necessary footage and project files. Ideally, you’d be comfortable working remotely mostly, but we anticipate a few in-person sessions here in Nashville. My goal is to find someone collaborative who can help bring this story to life.
