Senior Colorist, Sci-Fi Short (Volunteer)

Hey filmmakers, we're on the lookout for a talented Senior Colorist to join our independent production team for an exciting sci-fi short film. We've just wrapped principal photography, and the visuals are looking strong, but we need someone with a refined eye to bring out the full emotional depth and narrative impact through color. Think 'Blade Runner' meets 'Arrival' for its visual storytelling, with a blend of gritty realism and ethereal wonder we want to highlight. Your main responsibilities will include working closely with the director and cinematographer to establish a cohesive performing primary and secondary corrections, and delivering final graded footage in requested formats. You'll need to have access to your own professional grading suite and software, and a strong reel showcasing your experience with sci-fi or genre projects is a must. We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of professional color grading experience, preferably on short films or independent features. This is a volunteer position, but we're providing meals during work sessions and a copy for your reel. We're aiming to begin post-production in late August, with flexible hours to accommodate your schedule. We’re a passionate, dedicated team and we’re excited to make something special.
