Line Producer, Austin Short Film

Hey filmmakers, I'm James, a sound designer scouting for an experienced or emerging Line Producer for an upcoming independent short film. It's a sci-fi drama, leaning into psychological suspense with some really intriguing visual effects opportunities. We're aiming for a polished, festival-ready piece. Your primary role will be overseeing the practical logistics of production, including budget management, scheduling, location scouting coordination, and ensuring a smooth workflow for cast and crew. You'll be the backbone making sure we stay on track and within scope. No specific gear is required from you, but a strong organizational mind and problem-solving skills are essential. If you have any budgeting software proficiency, that's a plus. Your experience level can be anywhere from a seasoned pro to someone looking for their big break, as long as you can demonstrate a solid understanding of line producing principles. Shoot dates are currently flexible but we're targeting a 3-5 day shoot sometime in late spring, early summer, all in the Austin area. Hours will be typical production days. We're a tight-knit and passionate crew, and while compensation is negotiable, we're dedicated to making this a rewarding experience for everyone involved. Show us what you've got!
