Senior Editor, Pilot (Sci-Fi Comedy)

Hey filmmakers! We're seeking a talented Senior Editor for an independent pilot, a sci-fi comedy with a quirky, offbeat tone. Think Mork & Mindy meets The Good Place, with a touch of DIY charm. This is a passion project looking for someone who can bring their creative vision to the table and help shape the final product. We've got some great performances and intriguing concepts, and now we need someone to really make it sing. Your responsibilities will include assembling raw footage, syncing audio, color correction (basic adjustments), sound design (basic foley/mixing), and implementing visual effects (simple compositing). You'll be working closely with the director to refine the narrative and pacing. We need someone with extensive experience in non-linear editing systems (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred). Please have your own editing station and software. A strong reel showcasing your narrative storytelling and comedic timing is essential. Experience with episodic content is a huge plus. We anticipate roughly 60-80 hours of work, spread out over 4-6 weeks starting in late March/early April. This is a volunteer position, but you'll get valuable experience, screen credit, and a fantastic project to add to your portfolio. We'll provide all raw footage and project files.
