Video Editor for Sci-Fi Pilot (Mid-Level)

Hey filmmakers, I'm Dara Pope, Best Boy Electric on an exciting indie project, and we're looking for a skilled mid-level editor to join our crew for a sci-fi pilot. This isn't your typical space opera, it's a gritty, character-driven story set in a near-future Atlanta, blending elements of drama and suspense with a cool tech aesthetic. It's got some really unique visual storytelling opportunities. Your main responsibilities will include assembling raw footage, creating a strong narrative flow, incorporating sound design elements, and collaborating closely with our director to bring their vision to life. We're looking for someone who has a good understanding of visual storytelling and can contribute creatively. We need someone with their own editing suite and software, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro, and a reel showcasing previous narrative work, especially sci-fi or drama. We're aiming to shoot late April/early May, so the post-production work would follow shortly after. This is a volunteer position, but you'll get full credit, invaluable experience on a passion project with a great team, and all meals provided during production and post-production.
