Director: Sci-Fi Thriller Short (Paid)

Hey Chicago filmmakers, we're looking for a talented Director for our upcoming sci-fi thriller short film, "Memory Echoes." It's a psychological piece with strong visual storytelling opportunities, exploring themes of fractured reality and elusive memories in a near-future setting. We've got a tight, engaging script and are excited to bring it to life. As our Director, you'll be responsible for translating the script onto the screen, leading the creative vision, working closely with the Cinematographer and department heads, and guiding the cast to achieve compelling performances. We're looking for someone with a clear vision, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire a small crew. While we're open to all experience levels, a directorial reel or strong portfolio showcasing your storytelling abilities and visual style is a must. You don't need to provide gear for this role. We'll be shooting primarily in and around Chicago, approximately 3-4 days in late summer/early fall (exact dates TBD, we'll confirm closer to pre-production). Compensation is $150-300 per day, depending on experience. Meals and craft services will be provided on set. Looking forward to seeing your work!
