Assistant Editor, Comedy Web Series

Hey filmmakers, I'm Noah, a motion graphics artist putting together an independent web series, and I'm looking for an awesome Assistant Editor to join our team. It's a fun, quirky comedy with a lot of heart, exploring the absurdities of modern life. Think low-fi indie vibes with a sharp sense of humor. This role is crucial for keeping our post-production organized and efficient. You'll be responsible for ingesting and organizing footage, creating dailies, syncing audio, managing project files, and helping with basic assembly edits. We're looking for someone who's meticulous, has a good eye for detail, and can keep things running smoothly. While specific gear isn't required (we'll provide a workstation), experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is essential. Please have a reel or some work samples that show off your organizational skills and any editing experience you might have, even if it's from student films or personal projects. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get more hands-on experience in post-production. Key dates are flexible but we're looking at a few weeks of work, potentially starting in late April. We're offering a rate of $100-200/day, depending on experience, and we'll be working out of a space in Brooklyn. We'll be pretty casual but focused. Let's make something cool together!
