1st AC, Feature Film (Miami)

Hey filmmakers! Our independent feature film production is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1st Assistant Camera to join our crew in Miami. It's a gripping crime drama with a gritty, realistic tone, and we're excited about the story we're telling. We're looking for someone who can keep our camera sharp and our shoots running smoothly, even under pressure. Key responsibilities include pulling focus, managing camera equipment, setting up and breaking down gear, and basic troubleshooting. You'll be working closely with our DP to achieve their vision. We're shooting on a Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro, so familiarity with that system is a big plus. We need someone with mid-level experience as a 1st AC on narrative projects, and a strong understanding of camera mechanics and set etiquette. Please have your own follow focus, monitor, and wireless video transmission system. A reel showcasing your focus pulling skills is highly encouraged. Shoot dates are approximately late October to early November, typically 10-12 hour days. This is a volunteer position, but you'll get valuable feature film credit and all meals provided on set.
