Camera for Feature Film

Looking for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Detroit. This is a gritty, character-driven drama set in the city, exploring themes of resilience and redemption. It’s an ambitious project with a tight-knit crew, and we're looking for someone who thrives in that kind of environment. Your primary responsibilities will include pulling sharp focus, managing camera equipment, and assisting the DP with all technical aspects of the camera department. We'll be working with a RED camera package, so experience with that system is a big plus. You should be familiar with various lenses and accessories, and possess a strong understanding of camera prep and on-set workflow. We’re open to all experience levels, but a solid work ethic and a good attitude are essential. Please have your own follow focus unit and relevant tools ready. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late fall, lasting approximately 20-25 days, with typical 10-12 hour days. We’ll provide meals and snacks on set, and a comfortable working atmosphere.
