Colorist, Documentary Feature

Documentary Color Grading Mexico City, MX mid Budget: $100-200/day

Hey Mexico City film family, I'm working on finding some great talent for an independent production, and we're looking for a sharp mid-level colorist to join our team for an upcoming documentary feature. This isn't your average talking-head doc, it's a visually rich exploration of some fascinating cultural traditions, and we're aiming for a warm, earthy, and sometimes gritty aesthetic in the grade. We need someone who can really bring out the subtle textures and emotions in our footage. Your main responsibilities will include conforming footage, primary and secondary color correction, and delivering final graded files in various formats. We're looking for someone with a strong reel demonstrating their documentary color grading skills, particularly experience with natural light and diverse skin tones. You'll need to have your own DaVinci Resolve suite and monitor setup, calibrated appropriately. While shoot dates are approximate at this stage, we anticipate a roughly 20-day grading window sometime in late summer or early fall. We're offering a daily rate of $100-200, depending on experience and your specific setup. We'll be working closely to achieve the director's vision. Please send your reel and a brief email about your relevant experience. Thanks!
