Camera Operator, Web Series (Entry-Level)

Looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Camera Operator for an upcoming independent web series shooting in Los Angeles. This is a dramatic, character-driven series with a grounded, naturalistic visual style, focusing on complex relationships. We're aiming for a cinematic feel on a modest budget, so creativity is key. As Camera Operator, you'll be responsible for operating the A-camera, executing planned shots, and collaborating closely with myself (the Cinematographer) to achieve our visual goals. You'll need to have a strong understanding of camera movement, framing, and light. This is an entry-level position, so we're looking for someone eager to learn and grow with a professional crew. Proficiency with industry-standard camera systems (e.g., Arri, RED, Sony Cinema Line) is a must, even if you’re using rental gear. Please have your own reliable transportation and a strong understanding of on-set etiquette. A link to your reel showcasing your best work is required, even if it's student films or short passion projects. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days in late July, 10-12 hour days. Location is mostly interiors around the LA area. Daily rate of $500-800, depending on experience and gear contribution (if any). Lunch and snacks will be provided on set.
