Commercial Camera Operator, Detroit

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a skilled Camera Operator to join our lean crew for an exciting commercial shoot in Detroit. This project is for a local small business, a dynamic lifestyle brand, and we're aiming for a fresh, engaging, and polished look. The tone will be upbeat and authentic, focusing on naturalistic performances and vibrant visuals. We’re an independent production, passionate about creating high-quality content. You'd be responsible for operating the primary camera, executing shots based on the director's vision, and ensuring all footage meets technical and aesthetic standards. We'll be shooting on a digital cinema camera, likely aRED or Arri, so familiarity with those systems is a plus. You should have your own basic camera support, such as a sturdy tripod, and a monitor. A strong reel showcasing your camera operating skills in commercial or narrative work is essential. We anticipate a two, possibly three, day shoot in late July, exact dates TBD, with typical 10-12 hour days. This is a volunteer position, but we'll provide meals on set and you'll receive a copy of the final commercial for your reel. Looking forward to seeing your work!
