Color Grading for Pilot

We're gearing up for an exciting sci-fi drama pilot, a character-driven story with a grounded, gritty aesthetic that explores themes of memory and identity. This project offers a unique opportunity to shape the visual pipeline from the ground up on a promising new series. We're seeking a skilled Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) to join our team for this independent production. Key responsibilities include managing data workflow on set, ensuring media integrity, performing on-set color management and basic look application, generating dailies, and troubleshooting camera and media issues. You will be the primary point person for all digital media aspects from capture to hand-off to post-production. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Applicants should have their own DIT cart and essential gear, including appropriate monitoring, color calibration tools, and reliable data management software and hardware. We require a minimum of 3 years experience as a DIT on narrative projects, preferably with experience in sci-fi or similar visually complex genres. A strong understanding of various camera systems (e.g., Arri, Red, Sony) and color science is essential. Please submit a brief cover letter and your reel or relevant work samples. We anticipate a 5-day shoot period in Toronto, likely in late September or early October 2026, with 1-2 prep days beforehand. Hours will be standard 10-12 hour days. Lunch and craft services will be provided on set. Compensation is $2000-3000/week, commensurate with experience, for about 1.5 weeks of work.
