Mid-Level Colorist, Auckland Web Series

Web Series Color Grading Auckland, NZ mid Budget: Revenue share

Our upcoming web series, a psychological thriller with neo-noir influences, is seeking a talented Mid-Level Colorist. The project dives deep into a detective's fractured psyche as he navigates a city on the brink. We're aiming for a moody, atmospheric playing with shadows and heightened contrast to emphasize the internal struggle and the city's grim underbelly. This is an independent production with a compelling narrative that promises a unique visual journey. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain a consistent, stylized grade across all episodes, working closely with the director and the color timer (myself) to achieve the desired aesthetic. We need someone who can translate complex emotional beats into visual palettes and understands how to tell a story through color. You'll need access to your own professional color grading suite, including monitors and software (DaVinci Resolve preferred). We expect a strong reel showcasing your narrative work and a clear understanding of color theory and workflow. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a revenue share in the project's future earnings. Post-production is slated to begin in early October 2026, with an estimated 3-4 weeks of work depending on episode length. We're looking for someone available for this period, with flexible hours. The raw footage will be provided in a manageable format. Please submit your reel and a brief cover letter explaining your interest by October 7, 2026.
