Mid-Level Colorist for Documentary (Albuquerque)
Seeking a mid-level Colorist for a compelling independent documentary in Albuquerque, NM, offering a revenue share partnership. We're looking at about 3 weeks of work, primarily for color grading the final cut, with a possible one-day remote or in-person consultation in late October 2026. This upcoming project explores a unique cultural narrative, blending historical interviews with contemporary observational footage, aiming for a warm, authentic, and cinematic feel. You'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall performing primary and secondary color corrections, noise reduction, and final color conforming. We need someone with a strong reel demonstrating experience with documentary projects and a solid understanding of color science and delivery specifications for various platforms. Proficiency with industry-standard software, DaVinci Resolve preferred, is essential. While we don't expect you to own an entire grading suite, access to your own calibrated monitor and grading software is required. We'll provide all raw footage and project files. This is a chance to be an integral part of a passionate small production company, bringing a significant story to life.
