Colorist, Indie Short Film (Remote OK)
Hey everyone, Marcus Johnson here. I'm a Director/Writer looking for a talented mid-level Colorist for my upcoming short film, a psychological thriller with a bit of a surreal edge. Think dark, atmospheric, and really leaning into a disorienting visual style. We're aiming for something visually striking that really enhances the unsettling tone. Your main responsibility will be color grading the entire short, working closely with me to achieve the desired look and feel. I'm looking for someone who can bring their creative vision to the table and isn't afraid to experiment. You'll need your own color grading software and a calibrated monitor. A strong reel showcasing narrative work, especially with darker themes, is a must. This is for an independent production, and while our shoot dates are wrapped, we're targeting a final picture lock by late July, so grading would commence immediately after. We're offering $100-200/day, depending on experience, with an estimated workload of about 3-5 days. This role can be done remotely, although Atlanta-based is a plus if you prefer in-person collaboration at any point. Let's make something awesome together.
