Line Producer for Arthouse Short Film, Auckland

Short Film Line Producing Auckland, NZ entry Budget: Deferred pay

Hey everyone, I'm working on an upcoming independent short film and we're looking for a dedicated Line Producer to join our team. This is a dramatic arthouse piece, exploring themes of memory and loss through a visually evocative lens, with a subtle, melancholic tone. It's a passion project, aiming for festival circuits. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the budget, scheduling, securing locations, overseeing logistics, and generally keeping everything running smoothly on set. We're a small, collaborative crew, so a proactive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills are key. You'll be working closely with the director and me to bring this vision to life. This is an entry-level position, so prior experience in line producing isn't strictly necessary, but a strong understanding of film production processes and a willingness to learn are crucial. We need someone who is organized, good with people, and can handle the pressures of an independent film set. Practical details: shoot dates are tentatively planned for late September over 3-4 days in Auckland, exact hours TBD. Compensation is deferred, with profit-sharing opportunities if the film achieves distribution. We'll provide craft services and transport during shoot days. Please send a brief introduction outlining your relevant experience and why you're interested in the project.
