Jr. VFX Artist, Sci-Fi Short (Atlanta)

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a talented Junior VFX Artist to join our team for an exciting sci-fi short film. This independent production has a dark, mysterious tone with some truly unique creature designs that will require your creative touch. You'll be responsible for a range of visual effects work, from compositing and green screen keying to basic 3D model integration and environmental enhancements. We're talking about bringing some otherworldly elements to life. We're seeking someone with 1-2 years of experience in VFX, ideally with some experience on short films or student projects. You should be proficient in industry-standard software (Nuke, After Effects, Maya, or Blender knowledge is a plus). Please have a strong demo reel showcasing your best work in compositing and digital effects. While we appreciate artists with personal gear, we'll be providing all necessary software licenses and a workstation for the duration of the project. Shoot dates are approximately late October to early November, for about 3 weeks of dedicated post-production work. We're based in Atlanta, GA, and anticipate typical 8-10 hour days, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for crunch periods. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with a creative team and build your reel with some high-quality effects. Let's make some movie magic!
