Line Producing for Documentary

Filming in New York City, we're looking for a senior Line Producer for an independent documentary project with principal photography slated for September 2026. This character-driven feature explores a unique subculture, offering a compelling human story with intimate, observational cinematography. We need someone who can hit the ground running with pre-production this month, preparing for about 3-4 weeks of intense shooting in September 2026. This role is crucial for keeping our independent production on track and within our resource allocation. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day operations, budget oversight, scheduling, crew coordination, and ensuring all necessary permits and insurance are in place. We're looking for someone with extensive documentary experience, particularly with independent productions in NYC, who understands the creative process while maintaining practical efficiencies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. While we don't require you to bring your own gear, we do expect familiarity with standard documentary workflows and a solid network of local resources.
