Senior Line Producer, Documentary Feature

Austin, TX. We're seeking a Senior Line Producer for an independent documentary feature shooting primarily during the first half of September 2026, with some potential pick-up days into late September. This is a 3-4 week commitment overall for an impactful, character-driven documentary exploring a unique cultural phenomenon in the American Southwest. It's a passion project with a talented core team, looking for someone to help bring our vision to life efficiently and effectively. We need a seasoned pro to manage all production logistics, budgets, schedules, and crew. You'll be the backbone of our on-the-ground operations, ensuring smooth principal photography and overseeing a small local team. Key responsibilities include daily call sheet generation, managing petty cash and expenses, coordinating travel and accommodation for out-of-town crew, overseeing equipment rentals, and maintaining production insurance documentation. We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience line producing documentary features, especially those with some vérité elements. Strong negotiation skills and a keen eye for budget optimization are crucial. Experience managing production in a remote or unique location is a plus.
