Locations Assistant, Feature Film (ABQ)

Looking for a Locations Assistant for an upcoming independent drama. It's a character-driven story with some really unique visual opportunities set against the stunning New Mexico landscape, focusing on family secrets and redemption. We'll be shooting primarily around Albuquerque and some surrounding areas. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with scouting, securing permits, coordinating with property owners, managing location agreements, and ensuring our locations are prepped and left in good condition. You'll be working closely with me, the Location Manager, to keep everything running smoothly. No specific gear required on your end, just a good attitude, communication skills, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Any prior experience, even on shorts or student films, is a plus, but we're open to all experience levels. If you're new to the locations department but eager to learn, this is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience on a feature. Shoot dates are approximately 5 weeks, starting late Fall. Expect 10-12 hour days. We'll provide lunch on set and cover any necessary travel or location-related expenses you incur. Day rate is $200-400, depending on experience.
