Locations for Music Video

Hey filmmakers, I'm producing an upcoming music video for an independent artist and looking for a talented Location Scout/Manager. This will be a high-energy, visually driven piece, think vibrant colors and dynamic spaces, with a bit of a psychedelic, dreamlike vibe. We're looking for someone who can help us find unique, Austin-centric locations that will really pop on screen, from cool urban spots to more natural, ethereal settings. Your primary responsibilities will include scouting and securing diverse locations, handling permits and necessary clearances, and generally ensuring smooth operations on set regarding location logistics. We're looking for someone who's resourceful, a good communicator, and can problem-solve on the fly. Experience with Austin's permit process is a big plus. While this is an entry-level position in terms of overall industry experience (no need for a huge credits list!), some prior experience in location work, even on short films or student projects, is preferred. Shoot dates are tentatively set for mid-July, so we'd need scouting to begin shortly. We anticipate 2-3 shoot days, potentially longer for scouting, with standard 10-12 hour days. Compensation is $1000-1500 per day, depending on experience. We'll handle catering and transportation for crew on shoot days.
