Locations for Commercial

Hey all, I'm Marcus, a Foley artist, and I'm helping prep for an upcoming independent commercial production here in Chicago. It’s a really fun, quirky spot for a local cafe, focusing on the sensory experience, so finding the perfect, charming spaces is key. We're looking for an entry-level Locations Assistant to help our Locations Manager with some legwork and outreach. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with scouting, obtaining permits, managing location agreements, and helping with general set-up and breakdown at various sites. Basically, you'll be the extra set of hands making sure our locations run smoothly. While no specific gear is required, strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude are essential. You should also have reliable transportation here in Chicago. Shoot dates are tentatively set for late July, early August, with prep starting mid-July. We're looking at 10-12 hour days during production. This is an excellent opportunity to get some hands-on experience in commercial production. Compensation is backend percentage, as is common for smaller, independent projects. We'll provide craft services and some transportation assistance during active scouting and shooting days.
