Mid-Level Art Assistant, Indie Feature

Hey everyone, Ricky here (Playback Op!) on an exciting independent feature film shooting in Los Angeles. We are looking for a dedicated Mid-Level Art Assistant for our Art Department. This dramatic thriller has a gritty, grounded aesthetic with some surreal elements, think early Fincher meets 'No Country for Old Men'. It's a really interesting script with a strong visual identity. As an Art Assistant, you'll be crucial in helping bring our vision to life. Responsibilities include assisting with prop sourcing, set decoration, organizing the art department workspace, managing inventory, and on-set dressing. You'll be working closely with our Production Designer and Art Director, learning a ton in the process. We're looking for someone with some prior experience in an art department, ideally on features or short films. Please have a portfolio or reel that showcases your art direction, set dressing, or prop fabrication skills. While we prefer candidates with their own reliable transportation, it’s not a strict requirement. This is a volunteer position offering screen credit, meals, and an incredible opportunity to contribute to a compelling independent film. Shoot dates are approximately late June to early July, with some prep work starting in mid-June. Hours will be standard production days, typically 10-12 hours. Let's make something awesome!
