Mid-Level Colorist, Feature Doc (Cape Town)

Documentary Color Grading Cape Town, ZA mid Budget: TBD

Looking for a talented mid-level colorist to join our independent documentary project filming in and around Cape Town. This is a powerful, character-driven story exploring themes of resilience and community, with a visually rich aesthetic we want to really bring to life in post. We've got some stunning original footage that needs a skilled eye to shape its final look. Your main responsibilities will include ingesting footage, performing primary and secondary color correction, creating and applying looks, and ensuring consistency across various shooting conditions. You'll be working closely with me (the Director) to achieve the film's desired mood and tone. Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a must, and we'd love to see a reel demonstrating your narrative and documentary work. Post-production is slated to begin roughly around late August/early September, continuing for approximately 4-6 weeks, with flexible part-time hours initially. We're open to you working from your own studio or having dedicated time at a local facility we'll arrange. Compensation is TBD based on experience. We're a small, passionate team, and we're excited to find someone who can contribute significantly to the film's final polish.
