Post-Production for Pilot
Hey filmmakers, Mateo here. I'm a Color Timer working on an exciting supernatural drama pilot, set right here in Auckland. It's a character-driven story with some really unique visual elements, delving into Maori folklore, and we're looking for an Assistant Editor to join our post-production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with an independent production from the ground up, perfect for someone looking to build their reel or gain experience on a narrative project. You'll be assisting the lead editor with organizing footage, creating dailies, syncing audio, managing media, and preparing sequences for final export. We'll also need help with some basic sound cleanup and VFX temp placements. Ideally, you'll have a good understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro, be highly organized, and have a keen eye for detail. While prior professional experience is a plus, passion and a solid work ethic are paramount; we're open to any experience level. Familiarity with post-production workflows is key. Please include a link to your reel or any relevant work when you reach out. This project is operating on a deferred payment structure, offering a backend percentage once the pilot is sold, which we're actively pursuing. We're aiming to begin post-production in late May and anticipate a 6-8 week commitment, estimated at 20-30 hours per week initially, flexible around your schedule. We’ll be working remotely for most tasks, with occasional in-person sessions (if you're Auckland-based) for specific reviews. We won't be providing equipment, so you'll need your own editing setup.
