Senior Editor, Sci-Fi Pilot (Seoul)

Hey everyone, I'm Ji-Hoon, a VFX Supervisor working on an exciting independent sci-fi fantasy pilot. We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Editor for this upcoming project. It's a dark, gritty story with a strong emphasis on practical effects and a unique, atmospheric visual style. We've got some incredible creature design and world-building that will really shine in the edit. Your primary role will be to craft a compelling narrative, ensuring seamless flow and pacing while maintaining the pilot's distinct tone. You'll be responsible for all aspects of post-production editing, including assembling raw footage, refining cuts, incorporating visual effects (working closely with me, of course!), and managing sound sync. We need someone with extensive experience on similar high-concept genre projects, ideally with at least 5-7 years in a senior editing role. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is a must. Please provide a strong reel showcasing your narrative storytelling abilities. We're aiming for principal photography in late May, so editing would begin shortly after. It's a demanding schedule, roughly 10-12 hours a day, but we'll provide all necessary equipment and a comfortable workspace in Seoul. Daily rate is $1000-1500, depending on experience. Shoot dates are approximate and subject to slight adjustments.
