Post-Production for Short Film

Hey everyone, Marcus Tillman here. I'm a Foley Artist working on an upcoming independent short film, a really cool sci-fi thriller with a psychological edge. Think "Arrival" meets "Coherence," some mind-bending stuff. We're looking for an experienced Editor to join our post-production team. This is a super interesting project, visually driven with a complex narrative that will really benefit from a creative eye in the edit suite. Your main responsibilities will be assembling raw footage into a cohesive story, collaborating with the director on pacing and tone, and managing all media assets. We're looking for someone who can elevate the material through their editing choices and help craft a truly unsettling atmosphere. We need someone with mid-level experience editing narrative shorts, ideally with some thriller or sci-fi work under their belt. You'll need to have your own editing software and a reliable workstation. Please send over your reel, especially anything that showcases your ability to build tension or manage complex timelines. We're aiming for principal photography in late spring, so post-production would likely begin in early summer. This will probably be a few weeks of full-time work, but we can be flexible. We're a small, dedicated crew and happy to discuss the specifics. We'll provide all necessary project files and story notes.
