Senior Editor for Music Video (Toronto)

Hey Toronto editors, I'm Ethan, a sound editor working on an independent music video production and we're looking for a senior editor to join our team. This is for a really cool, high-energy indie rock music video, with a sort of gritty, urban aesthetic that I think will be a lot of fun to cut. We've got a lot of compelling performance footage and some really dynamic visual storytelling elements that need a creative hand. We need someone with several years of experience cutting music videos specifically. You'll be responsible for assembling the initial rough cut, working through revisions directly with the director, and preparing the final picture lock for color and sound. We're looking for someone with their own editing suite and software, preferably DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro. Please send along your reel with relevant music video examples. The shoot is wrapping up soon, so we're looking to start post production in mid-July, with an expected turnaround of about two to three weeks. We're paying a flat daily rate of $250. We'll provide all raw footage, clear communication on creative direction, and a generally collaborative atmosphere. This is a paid gig, 8-10 hour days, likely working from your home studio.
