Production for Commercial

Shooting a dynamic commercial spot in Chicago, around early July (dates flexible), looking for a passionate Gaffer to join our small, independent production. This is for an upbeat, visually driven ad for a local startup, focusing on bright, clean aesthetics. It's a fantastic opportunity to build your reel and collaborate on a project with a strong creative vision. You'd be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plan, working closely with the Cinematographer to achieve the desired look. We're open to all experience levels, but you should have a good understanding of lighting principles and be comfortable working efficiently on a commercial set. Bringing some basic lighting gear, even just a few heads and stands, would be a huge plus, but we can also source some equipment. Expect 1-2 shoot days, likely 10-12 hours each. Craft services, water, and plenty of good vibes will be provided on set. Please send over your reel or any relevant work samples if you have them, along with a brief note about your experience. This is a passion project, so while it's unpaid, you'll gain valuable experience and networking opportunities.
