Senior Camera Operator, Web Series

Hey filmmakers, Grace Nakamura here. I'm helping out an independent production looking for a Senior Camera Operator for an upcoming web series shot here in LA. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama, think a modern noir with a lot of atmosphere. We're aiming for a really cinematic so we need someone who can truly help bring that vision to life. You'll be primarily responsible for operating one of our main cameras, working closely with the Director of Photography to execute the visual style. This means a solid understanding of blocking, movement, and capturing emotion through the lens. We're looking for someone with significant experience operating professional cinema cameras, a strong technical eye, and an artistic sensibility. You'll need to know your way around various camera systems and be comfortable working at a fast pace on location. A professional reel showcasing your operating skills is a must. This is a partnership opportunity, offering co-producer credit and backend participation, so we're looking for someone who wants to invest their talent in the success of the series. We estimate shooting for about 15-20 days, likely weekends and some weekdays, spread across a few months starting in late summer.
