VFX for Documentary
An independent documentary production is seeking a talented VFX Artist for an upcoming project. We're working on a compelling historical documentary exploring forgotten Chicago architectural feats, blending archival footage with interviews and modern cityscapes. The tone is informative yet visually engaging, and we need your expertise to help bring some of our more abstract concepts and historical recreations to life. Your primary responsibilities will include motion graphics, compositing, and visual effects cleanup for a variety of shots, some subtle, some more elaborate. We're open to all experience levels, from emerging artists to seasoned pros, as long as you have a strong reel demonstrating your eye for detail and storytelling through visuals. Please be proficient with industry-standard VFX software (e.g., After Effects, Nuke). Most work can be done remotely but we'd love for you to be Chicago-based for occasional in-person meetings. Shoot dates are wrapped, so this role is focused on post-production, with a flexible schedule. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and the scope of work. We're a small, passionate team eager to collaborate.
