Mid-Level VFX Artist, Doc Series, Atlanta

Documentary VFX Atlanta, GA mid Budget: Points + deferred

Hey everyone, Marcus here. We're looking for a talented mid-level VFX artist for an upcoming independent documentary series based in Atlanta. This isn't your typical talking-heads doc, we're incorporating some creative visual storytelling elements to enhance the narrative. Think subtle environmental builds, compositing historical footage into modern shots, and some light animation work. You'll be responsible for executing these visual effects, collaborating with the director on creative approaches, and ensuring a consistent look and feel across the series. We're looking for someone with a good eye for detail, strong proficiency in industry-standard VFX software (After Effects, Nuke, etc.), and a reel that showcases your compositing and visual problem-solving skills. Experience with documentary projects is a plus, but not essential. Shoot dates are TBD, likely starting late spring, early summer, with work being done remotely for a good chunk. This is a deferred compensation gig, offering points in the production plus back-end participation. We're a small, passionate crew and looking for someone who wants to leave their creative mark on a unique project. Hit me up with your reel and a brief intro.
