VFX Artist, Web Series (Entry) Vancouver/Remote
Seeking an entry-level VFX Artist to bring creative magic to our independent web series, a dark comedy with supernatural elements, set to go into post-production in the second half of October 2026. We need someone who can hit the ground running, assisting with compositing, rotoscoping, and a few key CG elements to enhance our world and character effects. We're looking for imaginative problem solvers who can work within practical constraints. Your main responsibilities will include helping integrate practical effects with digital enhancements, creating subtle atmospheric touches, and occasionally tackling more complex digital effects like character aura or energy blasts. This is a great opportunity to get significant on-screen credit and dive into a project with a unique tone, somewhere between quirky humor and genuine suspense. We are particularly interested in seeing a reel that showcases your ability to create believable, stylized effects, even on a budget. While we don't expect you to own high-end VFX software, familiarity with industry-standard tools (e.g., After Effects, Nuke, Blender, Maya) is essential. This is a partnership role, offering co-producer credit and backend participation, ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio and be part of a collaborative team. We anticipate about 3-4 weeks of intermittent work during the post-production phase, with flexible hours. Communication will be primarily online, but if you're in Vancouver, we can definitely connect in person. We're a small production, so flexibility and a good attitude are key.
