VFX for Short Film
Hey everyone, Corey Ballard here. I'm helping a colleague staff up for an independent short film, a really cool sci-fi thriller with a psychological edge, aiming for festival circuits. We're looking for an entry-level VFX artist who's got a passion for creating compelling visual effects and wants to get their foot in the door with a paid gig. You'd be responsible for key effects shots, including some digital set extensions, creature enhancements, and minor green screen compositing. We're talking 10-15 shots total, nothing super complex, but crucial for the story. We need someone who's proficient in industry-standard software, has a good eye for realism, and can work collaboratively with a small, dedicated team. Please include a link to your reel or portfolio, even if it's just student work or personal projects, so we can see your capabilities. The shoot is tentatively scheduled for mid-August in Los Angeles, likely a 3-4 day commitment, 10-12 hour days. We're offering $500-800 per day, depending on experience and the final scope of work. Catering and craft services will be provided on set. This is a great opportunity to gain experience on a solid project and make some good connections.
