I'm Derek, a 1st AC, usually working on indie features or commercial spots. We often bounce between an AMIRA or a V-RAPTOR XL on set, depending on the gig. I'm trying to get a better handle on the post-side of things beyond just DIT checks, especially with the way editing tools are evolving.

I’ve been diving into some articles and resources about modern workflows, things like automated transcription for editing, and making sure proxy workflows are solid from the get-go. These guides often mention common pitfalls, like over-relying on automated filler-word removal or completely ignoring proper proxy generation and management.
