Seasoned Producers: Personalizing Workflow & Undocumented Tools?
Hey everyone, Raj Patel here, I primarily work as a Focus Puller, but I'm increasingly taking on more producing roles for smaller independent shorts and music videos. I've been poring over a lot of the common frameworks for producer workflows lately, and they provide a really solid foundation for managing everything from pre-pro to delivery.
My question for those of you who've been producing for a good while: How have you personally adapted or tweaked these established 'workflow bibles' to fit your own style or the specific demands of your projects? I'm finding myself trying to integrate these general principles but sometimes struggle with the 'how' for my specific needs.
More specifically, have you discovered any indispensable tools (software, apps, physical systems) or unique document structures that weren't explicitly covered in those general guides but have become crucial to your personal, efficient workflow? I'm currently using a mix of Trello and Google Sheets, but always open to better solutions.
